GREENING LANGERADO

Renewable Energy - B20 Bio-Diesel

Langerado's generators & light towers powered by B20 Bio Diesel limits reliance on petroleum and prevents harmful CO2 emissions from contaminating our beautiful surroundings. B20 will be available for refueling Bio Diesel tour buses on site. In addition, through a combination of approaches, Langerado aims to offset the carbon output from the event by balancing the ecological footprint of bands and fans who travel many miles to arrive at this pristine location.

Greenerado - Sustainability Village

Everyone at the festival contributes to the success of Greening Langerado! On the stage near the EcoVillage, artists will jam and activists will spread positive messages for change. Non-profit organizations will showcase their efforts at sustainability and will teach festival goers how to take some of the eco-friendly practices they see at Langerado home with them. This is not just a component of the event, it is the heart and soul that's being woven into every aspect of Langerado!

PARK CITY ICEWATER

Park City IceWater is an all encompassing source of personal and environmental health. Water with a natural pH of 7.9, packaged in an environmentally responsible pouch is an all around solution for today's – and tomorrow’s – water drinker. THE GOAL IS AWARENESS!

•Protected and preserved for over 20,000 years, the source is literally a melted glacier, over a mile underground in the Uinta Mountains of Utah.
•One of the purest sources of water know to mankind, it is bottled at the source in a sealed system further protecting it from the atmosphere’s potential contaminants.
•Park City Icewater’s GlacierPak has a unique composite lining that prevents the leaching of toxins and pesticides into the water so that it maintains its purity.
•Clean, clear, refreshing taste that actually hydrates your cells. Park City Icewater is naturally alkaline at over 7.9 pH.
•One truckload of our empty pouches is equivalent to 27 truckloads of plastic P.E.T. bottles using 96% LESS landfill space. And that's if it makes it to the landfill. The PCIW pouch is pre-cycled, and uses 75% less energy and material to produce, always thinking "GREEN"

Help Keep Langerado Clean!

Thanks to your help last year, Clean Vibes recycled over 15,000 pounds of recycling at Langerado 2007! This year, we want to be sure to increase this number and we need your help.

The Langerado community is excited about our beautiful new home and we want to be sure that we are welcome back for many years to come. Let's all work together to keep Big Cypress beautiful! Please help Clean Vibes cultivate cleanliness and ensure that we as a community leave nothing but footprints and memories at Big Cypress this year.

As we enjoy this year's magical weekend of music, be sure to remember that we are guests on this beautiful land. Clean Vibes, the trash and recycling crew, will be making every effort to keep the campground and the concert areas clean and safe throughout the weekend- but we need your help. Please use the bags you will be given when you arrive to keep your camping area clean. Every vehicle will receive two bags, one is for trash and one is for recycling. Any glass, aluminum, and #1 - #7 plastic can be recycled as long as they are separated from regular trash. When you clean up your campsite please TIE your trash bags and leave them at the nearest trash/recycling station along the campground road.

As Langerado continues to grow, it is more important than ever to not just recycle as much material as possible on site, but also to REDUCE the amount of waste that is brought to the festival. We need everyone's help in order to make this happen!

As we all gear up for another unforgettable Langerado, we at Clean Vibes would like to share a few tips on how you can help keep the scene clean. Ideally, any event like this would be a "Leave No Trace" event. This means you pack-out everything you pack-in.

With that in mind, here are a few easy ways for you to leave the smallest "Langerado Footprint" possible.

Pre-Festival - Packing/Travel Tips

• Carpool. The less stuff you stack, the more people you can pack!
• Bring reusable water bottles.
• Avoid bringing food that spoils easily and/or is individually wrapped.
• Think reusable before you buy disposable!
• Bring bags for garbage AND recycling.
• Avoid Styrofoam coolers.
• Smokers - bring an ashtray!
• Consider borrowing camping equipment before buying new (tent, cooler, tarp, grill, etc.).
• If you have to buy new, then reuse or recycle the box before you arrive on site. Applicable to all new gear.
• Avoid bringing unnecessary items that become pesky waste (sequins, silly string, confetti, balloons, packing peanuts, etc.).

Clean Vibes' goal is not only to provide responsible waste management services at festivals, but also to educate about how to practice more environmentally friendly consumption patterns. But we can't do it alone! It takes all of us to spread the CLEAN VIBE!
