Formed in late 2005, The Heavy Pets are a traveling American Rock 'n'
Roll band that are best known for their explosive live performances
and deep catalog of original compositions. The bands' members have
been writing and performing music together in various projects since
1996 when the founders of the band, Jeff, Mike, and Joe met in Goshen
N.Y.  Now based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, The Heavy Pets have spent
the last two years touring nationally and recording their double disc
debut album "Whale" which was released in May of 2007. Backed by this
monster release the Pets have found a happy home on stages across the
country including a growing number of large festival appearances ('06
& '07 Langerado Festival in Sunrise, FL, the 10,000 Lakes Festival in
Detroit Lakes, MN, the Symbiosis Gathering in Angels Camp, CA, and
Ashefest in Deerfields, NC). Having multiple songwriters and lyricists
within the band allows The Heavy Pets to encompass a wide range of
musical styles within their work. The recent double album provides
touches of folk, progressive rock, reggae, and funk.
